ABOUT

The Noble and Greenough School Archives, located in the basement of the Castle, seeks to collect, preserve, and provide access to institutional and community records related to Noble and Greenough School from its founding in 1866 to the present. The archive collects the non-current records of the Noble and Greenough School, including student and institutional publications, photographs, scrapbooks, manuscripts, AV material, and various objects and artifacts. 

ACCESS

The collections are open for research by appointment to Nobles community members, including current students and families, graduates, and current and former faculty and staff. Select collections are available to outside researchers upon request and by appointment. Explore a diverse range of collections, including Student Publications, Nobles Publications, Photographs, Heads of School, Board of Trustees, Administrative Departments, Academic Departments, Scrapbooks, Graduates, Faculty and Staff, Athletics, Volkmann, Textiles, Artifacts and Memorabilia. Additionally, the archives house an oral history collection, audio-visual material, a Nobles Authors collection, a reference file, and a flat file of oversized photographs, maps, blueprints, posters, and more.

DONATING

The Archives graciously accepts donations from Nobles community members or anyone who may possess items related to the history and activities of Noble and Greenough School. Of special value are photographs, scrapbooks, Nobles branded clothing, ephemera, audio-visual material, and records of student clubs and organizations. Please contact School Archivist Heidi Charles if you are interested in donating.
